Birthday Breakfast

I can't believe my baby is one...he doesn't even act like my baby anymore. He is so big. He is the best thing to ever happen to Luke and I. We are so blessed to have this little man in our lives. He had a great birthday surrounded by many family and friends that love him so much! He had a little football party...which I failed to take pictures (but I do have video of...so I am not a total failure).
Finley at 1 year:

weight 22 pounds
6 teeth..4 top, 2 bottom
loves to point at everything and in his own language say "what's that?"
smiles 99% of the time
is always so proud of himself and claps and says "yay" at anything he does
loves to put things in buckets- he will play for 30 minutes with a bucket
is obsessed with any type of ball
loves to sing and play the piano-did not get that from me.
loves to read his books
is obsessed with Grandpa Gary's dog Czar...any time he sees Grandpa he says "Wo Wo" referring to Czar= he wants Grandpa to take him outside.
his favorite word to say is "Hi."- right when I open his door to his room in the morning he will be standing in his room and smiles huge and shouts "Hi!"
he loves everyone...he is always blowing kisses and laying his head down to give hugs to everyone
is already attached to phones...loves my cell phone and always puts it to his ear and says "Hi."
speaks his own language and talks a million words a minute
eats anything and everything...has to eat whenever I eat
walks around the furniture and with his push toys-isn't brave enough to go on his own, though.

Seriously...my list goes on. This boy just makes me the happiest person in the world! I guess I am a little addicted to him...might smother him a bit...perhaps even spoil him sometimes. But...who can you blame me!?? Happy Birthday Finley!!

Pictures are not in order, but this is us saying good bye to Elder Merrill at 530am...so excuse my grossness...

Mikelles kids came for a week and we went to the Museum and went swimming. It was so much fun with these kids! Finley loved having cousins in the house!

As a little farewell party for Lee we went to Groom Creek and played games, hiked, and ate some good food.

Finley was in heaven. He loves being outside. I can't wait for it to cool down so we can actually play in the backyard....

Other August happenings not documented: Sky got married! Diana is a great addition to the family. I am back at school.....yay. Finley is now 11months. Weighs 22 lbs. Crawls everywhere. Into everything. LOVES balls...especially basketballs. Crawls up the stairs. Loves his stuffed Alligator- he sleeps with it and cuddles and talks with it in his crib. He plays "peek a boo" by covering his ears instead of his face. He tries to bark like Czar and always wants to go play with him. He loves Grandpa Gary...and in his own way says "grandpa!" when he sees him. He loves playing with his cousin Jake. Each time we go to Grandma Kathy's he goes straight to jake and laughs and gives him a hug. There has been no attempt to walk...which I have enjoyed...crawling is bad enough. He throws fits like his dad ;)...at least so I am told. But he is still the happiest baby and he still has me and Luke wrapped around his fat chubby finger.

Fathers Day 2011

Finley is getting HUGE. 9 months now! He thinks he can do whatever anyone else is doing...He can stand like he is doin or army crawl...I have only seen him crawl for reals ONE time. Its like he thought it wasnt fast enough...he LOVES to just roll, so that is what he does the most. He has pulled himself up to stand against the couch a couple of times...other than that he is still a baby and I would like to keep him that way!

I love this boy. He is just so happy all the time! He has 3 teeth..almost 4. His teeth make me laugh, especially the top because they look too big for him! He weighs 21 lbs and 27in. and is loving his finger foods.

Finley LOVES his daddy. Luke's first Fathers Day was really exciting for him....Finley was so nice to get him exactly what he wanted...a new CHURCH BELT! I mean HELLO it's real leather people....lame I know...I dont feel bad though...haha I always make up for it at Christmas or Birthday time..i think he is rather spoiled...

We went up to Groom Creek Cabin and had so much fun! Drove Luke to the top of Spruce Mt a couple of times so he could bike down.

Finley LOVED being outside and playing at the field.

Little brother Lee Graduated! Now he will be off to Seattle, WA for his Mission on Aug. 3rd!

I took miss Karsyn to the Superstition Farm petting zoo with Brittany &Hallie and Charde & Nash! It was so much fun! I can't believe these kids show no fear of these animals..haha and their ice cream was delish!Finley loves being with his daddy. He gets so excited when he sees him. (and Grandpa too!)
My baby is now 8 months old! are you kidding me!? He talks and sings non stop-and does this in his crib until he falls asleep or until I get him up...has 2 teeth...weighs 21 pounds as of yesterday...has started to throw temper tantrums (not my favorite)....can't get enough of being outside-every time he sees a window he wants to go out!...He gets on all 4 and rocks-no crawling yet, but he does roll so fast and gets to where he wants to be...he also pushes himself backwards instead of forward and he gets really frustrated...He is obsessed with dogs-Luke and I watched Marley & Me and Finley watched the whole thing with us! He can stand while holding on to something if I put him there and if he falls he tries to pull himself back up there...I can't believe how big he is...His hair is so dang long I think I am takin him to get a buz today! Well I think that is about it for May!

I was trying to teach him to crawl...not successful, yet.

And this was my lovely meal I made a couple weeks ago. It was SO GOOD! Sweet Bacon Wrapped Chicken, Roasted Asparagus, and Garlic Mashed Potatoes! I found the bacon wraps on Basic Bites- Thanks Lauren!

All about Finley:
I can't believe how fast time is going! Finley is 6 months old already! I can't believe it! He is getting so big, way too fast! I am so so lucky to have this little boy in my life! He just melts me every time I look at him! He has the best smile with his cute little dimples- even eye dimples. I cant get enough of his laugh- His Grandpa's sure know how to make him laugh! When I pick him up he grabs my face and just snuggles right in and give the biggest kiss. I just love being his mommy! He definitely loves his daddy. He loves having dad's attention and loves listening to him serenade him with the guitar. He's still a jumper, and is rolling all over the place. He loves to eat carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, green beans. HATES peas...I don't know any one that doesn't...He weighs 18lbs and is 26 inches tall. He is very social...he gets mad if he is in a room alone. He loves to go outside and is fascinated by Czar (the dog). He loves playing with his cousin Jake...when they see each other they both get so excited, I love it. I LOVE MY FINLEY!

February Flashback

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband who turned 25! I surprised him with a helicopter ride! (Thanks to Clyde and Adam:) We also went to body world which was pretty cool to see everything about the body, but definitely creepy too- Luke has had a couple nightmares from it.

Finley is a jumpin jack! He absolutely LOVES his jumper. (And so do I) He is just the happiest little thing! And by little- he is like 16lbs already! little chunker!

It wears him out...ha I love how he was still holding on to his toy- he is just too cute!

Finn just likes to shoot hoops in his room in his spare time

And he loves his after church nap- who doesnt??

As for Luke and I...we just keep on truckin through school! I love nursing school. I am so happy I chose to do this! On the other hand...I have been workin on call a lot lately doin admitting in the ER...and I AM EXHAUSTED! I am still trying to learn how to balance Family time with School/study time and mix work into it as well! I definitely lack in other areas...like today Luke asked "Um...when do you plan on shaving your legs??" haha they were bad, but don't worry they are just as smooth as Finn's now. Well I can't believe February is coming to an end! Finley will be 5 MONTHS! on Monday! Anywho- I am ready for March...I am lookin forward to a week long break from school and work.

Holidays are over...and so is January!!???

Finley's first Christmas! I can't believe it came and went so fast! It is so fun having a little one now, even though he didn't know what was goin on- he sure loves his presents now!

and so does Luke! We took this indoor basketball hoop to the cabin and all the boys loved playing it-especially since we were snowed in the entire time!!

Can you believe how big he is!? He will be 4 months old next week!

The Tom Wright Christmas party! We had the coolest shirts this year "Wrights' Market" shirts...and I love that Finn has a little one on too :)

It snowed soooo much this year at the cabin! We all got cabin fever and need to break out after like day 3 so we had the boys shovel us a path and the girls took a trip to Blossoms...

Okay so its been almost 2 MONTHS since I updated! Finley is 2 months old I can't believe it! He is the greatest thing ever! He is such an active baby...he loves looking around and talking and smiling...he definitely just melts our hearts! I have TONS of pictures to share, a MONTHS worth..Halloween we spent with Mikelles Family, Thanksgiving and Finleys blessing & more! Finn now weighs 11lbs 7 oz and is 23 in.

Sorry I haven't been up to speed on my blog...school work and baby is just overwhelming! but good news! I start nursing school in January! I am very excited! Sad news, I have to quit my wonderful job to start nursing school...hopefully I can get a per diem and stay within Banner. Until next time...

I Love this picture...Ha he was taken a nap under the sunlight's and looks like he was tired of the lights being in his eyes! :)

And he LOVES bath time...until he has to face the shock of cold when he gets out. And he does NOT like lotion rubbed on him...he cries every time!

Cute Baby Jake came this morning weighing 8lbs 6oz! Sandi and Jake are both doing so good! I can't wait for Jake and Fin to play together!!

The boys! Tate is so excited to have a new little brother!! :)

My lil Finley is doing so good! He sleeps for like 4 hours at a time and is a big eater! (except there is a one hour session in the middle of the night he just wants to look around...)

He now weighs 7 lbs and 13 oz and 20 3/4 in! I don't want him to grow! I love him so much at this size right now! He is just too perfect!! And now to some of his many vistors...I did not get a picture of everyone so I apologize...I need to remember to take them so I can show Fin everyone that came to visit! I don't even have one of Gary and Mar and we live with them!!

Karsyn would not give him back to me! I was so scared! ha ha she just LOVES babies so best of luck to you Sandi! :)

Meet Finley Thomas!

He was born 9/28/2010 7lbs 11 oz & 20 in. My labor wasn't progressing after like 30 hours and his little heart rate kept droppin so we had to go in for C-section..but it is all worth finally having this amazing little man in my life! Luke and I couldnt be happier! He was a little jaundice so he had to tan for a bit, but he is much better now! I am so happy to be home! my favorite thing is to watch Luke be a dad..he is amazing and I am so lucky to have him! I must also say I have one of the greatest sisters ever! Sandi was by my side all day everyday-my personal coach! I dont know what I would have done without her there! Thank you Sister! And thanks for everyone's love,help and support! We are so blessed!

Pregnant update: Had my doctors appointment yesterday. Everything is still going good. Not dilated...dang it...but my cervix has thinned out...so hopefully I will start dilating soon...Don't make fun of me if you see me outside curb walkin...
******and side note- my feet are HUGE. Seriously if I put my foot next to an elephant you wouldn't tell the difference (except maybe my pink polish and white skin may give you a hint)

So I had my doctors appointment today! Everything went great! I had my ultrasound and got to see how big my little man is...and he is about 5.5 pounds right now! He looks perfect and the fluid levels are great! He looks like he has his dad's lips and nose! AND HE HAS HAIR! Yay! haha-
So little confusion is goin on at my Drs...so 4 weeks ago I was told I was 32 weeks and measuring 2 weeks bigger so my Dr said to come back in 2 weeks and see his PA and then at my next 2 week visit he would check me and I would start coming every week. So 2 weeks go by and I see his PA and she said I was measuring bigger too and my feet were pretty swollen so she said to come back in 2 weeks and I will have my ultrasound and get checked....well I got my ultrasound which by the Ultrasound I am measuring 35.5 weeks...I then go to the next room wait for my DR to come in and check me...he comes in says I am measuring right on 35 weeks and to come back next week and he will measure me- then says oh no your 34 weeks so I will see you in 2 weeks and check you then....wait you just said I was 35 weeks and my last apt you said I was going to get checked today...DR "oh well we will just go by your due date and say your 34 weeks and check you in two..." GEEZ can he please just make up his mind?? So anyways, baby is doing great! ha I am doing swell...not too many uncomfortable symptoms...feelin some contractions and a lot of pressure when I stand up and feels like I have a broken tail bone, but so far my pregnancy has been a breez! I know I am lucky! I just am so anxious to meet this little boy!

32 Weeks and counting! So I went to the doctor last Monday and everything went great! I really can't complain about this pregnancy...it's been so GREAT! (which makes me a little scared that since these last 7 months have been so simple...the birth might kill me...) My little man is sure growing! I measured 32 weeks, but they have my due date as October 1st...so I am measuring about two weeks ahead of schedule, so hopefully he follows the measurement date (which would be about September 20th) instead of October! Or...I am just gaining a few extra LBS...whatev...

And yes, I have done a bit of shopping...I just can't refrain from baby jeans- they're so cute! and I found these ties at a little boutique in Show Low over the 4th! I just need to learn to make them now! (oh, and the Rocky onesie to make Luke happy) Luke and I are just SO SO excited for him to be here! Luke keeps talking to him and telling him to just come out already! And it has been so fun watching Luke put his head on my belly and he kicks like crazy...

Many Hours at Baby Gap.

My big brother works at a Spinal recovery place and is their Chef. He needed some help making desserts for the doctors there so I made some muddy buddies and Cinnamon rolls over the weekend. I also can't keep myself away from baby gap..seriously it might become an issue- I haven't spent THAT much...but there's a chance I might not be able to withhold any longer! I am 29 wks this week, which is SO crazy! And my stomach is now big enough to not be mistaken for just fat...thank you very much. Now only 11 more weeks to survive the 117 temp! I cant wait till I get to hold my little man! I will do another belly shot soon..when I actually get ready. Also, my sister in law Meg had a baby GIRL! Yay! We are so excited to have Tatum join the family and can't wait to meet her!

See how big I am and I look so thrilled to be taking a picture...24lbs baby...and it does not make me feel cool in this 112* weather! I am dying...I step one foot out the door and the sweat begins poring it's sick.. I do want my tummy to get bigger though cuz I feel little man is growing faster than my belly and it's hurtin, but good to know he is growin! And he doesn't stop movin! He is crazy! It's so fun to watch my belly move!
Oh and it summer vacation...not...Luke and I are both in summer school so I go to work 40hrs a wk and get to come home and do this the rest of the night..it's super. But thank goodness I am only taking one session so I only have a few weeks left. Then I just have fall semester and I will have my Bachelors in December! Yay! and my BABY IN JUST 14 WEEKS!

Craving of the day: Grandma

Today I woke up craving my Grandma. She was the best Grandma. Some of my favorite childhood memories were spent with her. I always loved it when I got to spend the night at Grandmas! We would watch some show on the TV then she would tuck me in. My favorite part was when she would wake me up with this (which is what I decided to make this morning) :

Although hers always looked a lot better and tastes better -I think mine comes pretty close. I would eat so much...she knew to make a lot because I would ask for 2nd or 3rds! I can't forget the cold cup of water n ice water she would also make sure that I knew how important water is to drink. Next we would head off to the zoo or the movies at Superstition Springs. She would let me play on the reptile playground and then we would go inside the mall and she would take me on the carousel. I can't forget the millions of trips we would also take to the infamous El Charro. I miss you Grandma and think of you always! I know she's takin care of my little man right now doin row row your boat and let him nibble on her chin :) her favorite. Thanks for all the fun memories! Love you.

Pregnancy Blog

Just a little entry for myself for all my random prego thoughts...this pregnancy has been such a huge (no pun intended) blessing in my life. I am SO excited to become a mommy and see Luke as a Dad. With pregnancy comes so many emotions of course. It is so crazy to think that 1. I am growing a human inside of me and I can see and feel him move all the time. 2. I am going to have a child. 3. Luke and I will be responsible for this child...our very own child...not our niece or nephew that we can play with and send home later...4. I cant wait to see him and hold him and love on him...Luke says I can't baby him that he is going to be a man Ha I want to see him try not to baby him, I think Luke will be worse than me!
This is not a complaint, just a Side note, I have gained 20lbs. Crazy. Like any person seeing those numbers go up on a scale isn't fun, however the weight gained is well worth the little sugar I will be holding soon! I am SO excited. It is so crazy how much your body changes when prego...like bending over-those cute sandles with the buckle FORGET THEM cuz I cant bend over that long without dying...and Luke just laughs... I am NOT excited to have to go back to work after, but that's life and I have wonderful job so can't complain too much.
Also: My cousin has created a very interesting/educating blog about pregnancy. She is going to be a first time mom like me come September and has been trying to educate herself as much as she can before her little man comes. It's very informative and I love reading it. I have always been scared of epidurals and always say I will go natural...which is the "plan", but I am a sucker for anything that takes pain away so who knows what I will do when I am dying in labor...Anyways, Check it out here.

So this is my belly at 20 weeks...so almost 3 weeks ago. It is bigger now, but I am a little slow at posting...and I am not to thrilled to post about a growing belly. I just have to tell myself it's a growing BABY!!! That I CAN"T WAIT to meet! Luke and I are soo EXCITED! He kicks like crazy, especially when it's bed time (great...hope he gets it out of his system now.) No special cravings...just about anything will do, except for most red meat- esp Hamburger! I do love the carbs...anything with a lot of cheese! It's been hard to drink a gallon of water a day...not doin to good on that, but I am working on it! And last but not least...my control of my bladder is severely poor. It was already bad from growing up and having my older brothers and sisters sit on me and tickle me until I peed...now you just get me to laugh hard and I am like a two year old again..really annoying.

We had a great opportunity to go to Portugal over spring break this year! Luke served his mission there 3 years ago. It was so much fun having him show me where he was and I actually got to meet a few people he taught! Luke's parents and brother Ike were able to come with us, too. We all had so much fun! The cities were beautiful! We rented a car for the week and Luke was our personal tour guide. Lucky for us our GPS we brought worked and helped us find our way to all the different cities we went to! We stayed in Lisbon, Porto, and Castelo Branco. We also visited Tumar, Vargos and Vianna. Here are a few pictures:

Additional Information

Course: It will be on a paved loop through the scenic HILLS of Las Sendas. The 10K will be chip timed by CEP timing. There will be 2 water stations along the course. Bathrooms will be available at the start/finish line. The 1 mile fun run/walk will NOT be chip timed. .

Christmas came so fast!! All of Lukes brothers and Sisters cam and it was so much fun to have everyone here! We hate that they don't live here!! We had a fun family reunion and birthday party of Grandpa Toms 90th. New years we were able to go up to John and Jane Wrights cabin again for New Years. It was the best trip we have had. We watched movies, drank martinellis, played games, ate good food, made are own music videos, boys went sledding, girls got pedicures...it was such a good vacation! Hope you had a good Christmas and New Years!

Only 2 years!? Are you serious!? This is going to be FOREVER! I feel like we have been married 5 years...seriously. But oh well, I want it to be forever! I am so greatful for my husband and his amazingness. He always puts a big smile on my face. We went to Disneyland over the weekend and it was complete happiness. We had so much fun! And tonight we are off to dinner at Olive Garden then Luke is treating my to New Moon! YAY! Sorry...I am not a good blogger...I have not taken any pictures

I am sorry for my lack of blogging skills...I have been so busy with work and school I forgot about taking a breath...so here are some pictures of Halloween. Luke was Harry Potter, and I was Sarah from Hocus Pocus. We went to a couple parties Trent & Charde's, The Randall's, and Grandpas. We had a lot of fun this year. Besides Halloween, I think thats about the most exciting thing that has happened since my last post....

I forgot I never posted about our Labor Day trip to Groom Creek. It is so beautiful up there I loved it so much!! Wes and Mikelle were able to come and Ike and Skyler and even Gary and Mar came up for a day. We played frisbee, kickball, hiked, wiffle ball, climbed elephant rock ,Luke of course brought up nintendo, bbq'd and played with Joe, Betsy and Ammon and their kids that were up there too. It was such a great trip, I cant wait to do it again!

We went on our annual vacation to Mexico with the Wright familia!

We had so much fun together! We boogie boarded, luke attemted to surf, went on long walks on the beach, and rented jet skis for the day!

But most of all, we looked like this *scrubs* with are nose in a book the whole week!

This little man is Tag! He was definitely lovin his vacation!

Disneyland...is the most magical, heavenly, happiest place on earth! I can never spend enough time in this holy place...lets not get me started on the food..(churros, caramel apples,chocolate covered strawberries..etc)

Best book...ever.

I love this place...my Grandma JO would always take me here (along with the rest of the fam) I just wish it would stay open year round! I love my Bean and Cheese Burro!

Sweet pork salad...A-mazing...again I find myself addicted.

I seem to love food...obviously...I cant forget my strawberry colada bahamaramamama!

Vacation! I love the beach! I love that I get to see Lukes fam for a whole week while we lay around mexican waters!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Wicked. Best musical ever. Okay so I havent seen any other musical live, so I am a bit bias. However, I did shed tears and have the chills throughout the show!

Luke knows how much I love wings...ha I can eat so many! I love medium and honey hot..SO YUMMY!

I love this game...I am sad that this game is no longer on every cell phone...and in 8th grade we would compete to see who could get to the highest level (Bailee)...I have discovered Lukes ipod has this game and I am once again addicted.

I love a pair of cute heels...they make me feel like I have long and beautiful legs...they are a great optical illusion...

We're moving from mine and Luke's first home...from this beautiful living room where Luke and I have lots of memories of cuddling and watching the OC all winter break, opening wedding presents,our first christmas and playing chess...

From our lovely kitchen where Luke and I wouldn't miss a day of eating cereal for breakfast, and where I cooked all my wonderful meals ;)

No memories of this hall bathroom, except that I think its a great lookin bathroom...and I dont think we have ever used that shower...ha ha I still have a couple weeks to try it out.

And then our bedroom....lots of memories, I wont share the details :)

Bye house! We will sure miss you!!! We will now be moving in with Gary and Marlene while we go to school full time and save up as much as we can! We are so grateful that they are letting us move in with them! They are such a blessing to us!

So lately I haven't been able to decide- Nursing or PA school? As of now, my mind has decided to want me to go to PA school. I have changed my major at ASU to a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies...basically I pick two focuses and major in them both. So I have picked Family & Human development along with Healthcare Innovation. Hopefully I will have this bachelors by next spring and be able to apply for PA school by then! I don't know what my mind is thinking...i am so over school....ick. I have one more final left this semester and it's TOMORROW! I can't wait for it to be OVER! I am surprised at how good my grades are this semester...I usually am a straight B student but not this semester...so far I am a straight A (+ 1 B) :) This summer should be very relaxing for me....until I find a job at least....
On another happy note...my husband (Luke, in case you forgot) has been WONDERFUL around the house! I have been so bad studying for my finals that are bedroom was overflowing with laundry, are dirty dishes went beyond the sink, and my yard somehow turned into a forest. But my husband came to the rescue and saved me from getting lost in my backyard, from drowning in dirty close, and dying from dirty dishes! I LOVE YOU LUKE!

Okay...so here's a little update, with very few pictures...So since I last posted I have been SO busy with school that I dont know how I am still alive! But, over conference weekend Luke and I and his brothers managed a trip up to Gallup. It was FREEZING! But we were so happy to see Mikelles family! They took us on a ride in thier sandrails and luke and I look like we are from Albania! and Ike looks like he is a marshmallow like Mikelle said! haha we had a lot of fun!

Then this is my handsome husband whom I love so much. Were on our way to listen to Grandpa Tom talk in church for Easter.

This is *nasty* me and my nieces and nephew making some chocolate chocolate chip cookies :)

Just this last Saturday night I got to have Karsyn sleep over! She is just so cute! And although I really do love her, and I did love having her- It is definitely great birth control to have her wake up throughout the night!
Our great friends Adam & Sarah had us over for a movie and we roasted mallows! It was so fun! We love them!
Yes, Luke really looks like that! Ha! I should say looked...he cut his hair last night...but he was growing it out for Mountain Man (Scouts...)
Meet Yang. For my brithday Sandi, me and my mom went and got pedicures. I showed Yang the design and colors I wanted to have done. However, Yang does not speak english, or so she pretends she doesn't. It took 4 others to explain to her what I wanted, and really it isn't that complicated- a few lines a couple dots...whatever. So I didn't think she spoke english, however, when we were through I was holding Karsyn and she comes up and says in perfect english "Hi baby! What a cute baby!"
We started March off great! Gary and Mar took us Arizonian children, who all have birthdays around the same time..to SIx Flags!
It was so Fun!!! The weather was beautiful! Actually, at night it was FREEZING! But still great weather!
And best of all it was that crowded! I think the longest line we waited on was for 45 min! Not to bad for Six Flags! Thanks Gary and Mar!

Sorry it took me so long to update! I have been so busy and stressed with school! ok...my real excuse is pure laziness...I didn't want to plug my camera in and upload my pics onto my comp. then sign on to my blog then upload my pics again and then spend all this time typing comments about each picture. Yesterday was a great day! I woke up to beautiful roses
and a little love note.

My poor Luke had to go to Driving School, but I guess it wasn't that bad because he LOVED it..(weird) I know. While Luke was at driving school I went birthday shopping for him and got to spend the day with my little brother Lee.

Then for the "Romantic" evening, Luke took me to Charlestons. SO. GOOD. Then we cuddled up to a real dumb movie called "The Women." Yes it was my choice, and my choice is always bad. I admit. But I love my husband because he sat through the whole thing like a champ!

Oh, I also got him a new book to read and a book light so he can read in bed while I sleep! He tested it out in the coat closet....

This past week Luke and I were invited to take a trip up to Pinetop to stay at the Wright's cabin! It was SO fun! We played games all day/night, went to the movies/watched movies, the boys played halo (i played one game and i had 9 kills, very proud of myself) and went golfing, we had great food, and great acting skills were shown in sherades! Thank you Guff and Britt for such a FUN vacation! We loved it!

A Merry Merry Christmas

Luke and I had a wonderful Christmas this year. This was our first year sleeping at our own house for Christmas. Then we went to Lukes family Christmas at 8am. Our favorite gift was a set of 11 DVD's that are all the homevideos that were ever taken of lukes family. They are SO funny. Then we went to Grandpa Toms for ham and rolls and then headed over to My families for more breakfast and play. We basically bounced back and forth all day between families. I am so happy we live so close to both families!! We did miss Meagans fam and Mikelles this year, It was sad not having them here, so they better make it next year!! I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas's!!

He is the brother that always took us camping, taught me how to shoot a gun (which backfired and a fragment of the bullet went into his shoulder), how to ride a horse, and how to love being outdoors. He is really an amazing big brother!

Sweet Grandma Jo Jo past away a year ago today. I miss her SO much, as I know everyone else that knew her, and all her family misses her just as much! She was the greatest grandma! All of us grandchildren LOVED to spend the night at grandmas house and wake up to her super yummy oatmeal and eggs on toast! Seriously the best ever! She was always there for every little event! And would always call and check up on us. So yesterday was mine and Lukes 1 year anniversary! We went to Disneyland last week so that was pretty much our anniversary present to each other. But we did do a few things on Saturday to celebrate!

So Luke has been really into playing pool lately. So we thought it would be fun to go play at a pool hall for a bit. He tells me I am good...so I thought I might have a chance at finally beating him in something....but of course...I didnt. After playing at Roosters (which by the way was filthy) we went to Macaroni Grill which is one of our favorite restaurants. Then we went and hung out with Adam & Sarah, Guffy & Brittany and Lance & Kim for some more pool and a movie. On our actual anniversary date (yesterday) I woke up to a bouquet of tulips (my favorite). I wasn't feeling well so Luke took care of me, and I of course milked it for all that it was worth. All in all it was a Great anniversary. I have loved every minute of this past year with Luke. He is such a wonderful Husband. I am so happy he chose me to be is wife! I dont think any other man could put up with my stubbornness! He's Amazing. I love you Luke!

SCHOOL....Grrr...My life and Lukes now revolve around School yet again! I am basically at school all day, everyday! and at 3 different locations!! I go to ASU's Tempe and Downtown locations and since ASU's Microbiology class was filled I have to go to MCC!! Luke has classes MWF, and works Tuesday & Thursday. So we are pretty dang busy...Not to mention I am taking 2 Lab Sciences (Anatomy & Physiology II, and MicroBIO). So If you don't hear from me until December sometime, that is probably why!

A sweet young couple, Christian and Stephanie Nielson, in are ward were recently in tragic plane crash this past Saturday. They are both in critical conditions, I believe at Maricopa County Burn Unit. Christian was said to have 30% of his body burned, but will hopfully recover in just weeks, while Stephanie was said to have 80% of her body burned and will hopfully recover in a few months. So, last sunday I was at church and an older man in the ward came up to me and said CONGRATULATIONS!! and I happily smiled and said THANKS! I had no idea why I was being congratulated but I happily excepted it. Then on Tuesday I get a call from my new visiting teachers, both are brand new to the ward so we have never met. She calls and says that they want to come visit and if everything was okay with me and MY BABY!? I said um....I dont have a baby.. I just got married 8 months ago! Turns out that the Reliefs Society presidency who gave them their visiting teaching assignment told them that I had just recently had a baby!! What???

Softball Tournament

For the 4th we went up to Pinetop and Luke and his friends/cousins played in a softball tournament in Snowflake all weekend. It was really fun watching them! They played SO good! and they WON the tournament!

We got home that Sunday and this is what the sky looked like! I thought it was so cool!

Well, School is OVER! I am so happy! Luke and I are heading up to Pinetop for the 4th. It is always so much fun up there! Luke plays in the softball tournaments with his friends and cousins. And we always stay at Johnny's Cabin with all of Lukes cousins, it is the funnest staying up and playing games all day and night! We love it!

For Fathers Day, Luke and I went to his home for dinner and some quality family time. We love going over there on Sundays to visit! Then we went to my parents for a Dessert Buffet and played with all of our nieces and nephews, which there is 14 on my side and soon to be 16, plus 3 on Lukes side and soon to be 4! Are family's are growin! Tonight we are going to Luke's Aunt Linda's house for a Fathers day FHE for Grandpa Tom!

So this week I started summer school for the first time in my life! I am taking an Anatomy Physiology class at Scottsdale CC. The class is good and interesting, we are disecting a sheep brain and eye ball next week! :) But the only thing that ruins it for me is I have to wake up at 6 to get to school on time! I haven't woken up that early since Jr High! The class is Mon-Thurs. 7-12! I would fall asleep, but I have to get my GPA up if I want to get into the Nursing program at ASU! When I get out of school at 12, I head straight to the antique shop until 5 then I get to study and study and do some more studying since we have a quiz or exam everyday! I know I live a boring life and I am sorry you are reading this! Well on to Luke. He is busy working, and working too much that I never get to see him! I don't like his new job! He likes what he does, but doesn't enjoy the 60 hours they have him working, so we will see how long this job lasts! We are both definitely looking forward to Lukes family reunion in Mexico the end of JULY! I can't WAIT!!!

So I suck at blogging....I never know what to post, and I am not a picture person...I promise I will get better, just give me some time! So here's a little update on Luke and I. Luke has a new job now, he is a pest control tech for a company called Point. So if you need a bug man he's your guy! I am just getting my but kicked in school, and I am in dire need of a vacation! My last final is next Wednesday! Woohoo! That is until summer school starts June 2nd! I am never goin to be done with school!!

Luke finally found the cord to hook my camera up so I can start posting pictures!! But let me tell you, I am not a photogenic person so I am not posting that much...These pictures are from visiting Mikelle and her family in Gallup over spring break we had fun playing games and going to the park, we had a little egg hunt for hallie, and just couldn't get enough of Jaxon's smiles!

Lets see...Thursday I had 2 exams and I actually did quite well on them and I am very happy they are over. Friday I spent half the day with my sister Natalie and her kids. I helped her clean up a bit then we took the kids to the park. Her boys Zac and Westin are too cute together...Then I went home to start on dinner so it would be ready when Luke returned home from working. I made barbque chicken, roasted red potatoes, green beans and brownies. Luke was surprised. Saturday my brother Tommy picked me up and my brother Lee to go to the gym, but first we wanted to stop by my brother Steves to see how him and his family were doing, Steve was actually out front trying to level his front yard to plant grass. So we ended up grabbin some rakes and helped him. It was a great weekend being able to see my older sibblings. Luke and I went and saw Vantage point lastnight after the Suns game. It was a real good movie, but Luke is more excited to see 10,000 B.C. that comes out this next Saturday. Which Luke and I are planning to go see Mikelle and Hallie and Jaxon and Wes all in New Mexico! We can't wait!
